Our Story
About Hands & Feet
A faith-driven ministry in Wrens, Georgia — serving our neighbors with food, clothing, and the love of Jesus Christ.
How We Started
Born Out of Hearts to Serve
What began as a burden to help those in need has grown into Hands & Feet Missionary Outreach, Inc., a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the old Wrens Middle School Building C. Through many long days, late nights, prayers, meetings, paperwork, renovations, and the support of faithful friends, God has opened doors that have allowed this ministry to become a reality.
Hands & Feet Missionary Outreach, Inc. was established with a simple but powerful purpose: to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our community. We desire to meet people where they are, help with immediate needs, and then walk alongside them as they work toward a better future.
Our mission is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by meeting temporary physical needs, providing practical life skills, and offering hope through the Gospel. We seek to serve individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and respect while helping them move toward greater stability, self-sufficiency, and spiritual growth.
What Drives Us
Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by meeting temporary physical needs, providing practical life skills, and offering hope through the Gospel. We serve individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and respect while helping them move toward greater stability, self-sufficiency, and spiritual growth.
Our Vision
While we currently operate a food pantry and clothing ministry, our vision extends much further. We are actively working to develop programs such as GED preparation classes, life skills training, job readiness workshops, interview preparation, and mentoring opportunities — because lasting change goes beyond meeting today's needs.
Practical Life Skills
We hope to offer classes teaching skills many people never had the opportunity to learn — changing a tire, using basic tools, reading a tape measure, simple home repairs, balancing a bank account, budgeting, preparing a resume, completing job applications, and presenting professionally for interviews. We also intend to assist individuals with obtaining appropriate clothing for employment opportunities.
Hope & Restoration
We are exploring the development of a Christ-centered recovery and support program, providing encouragement and accountability for those overcoming addiction, brokenness, and life's many challenges. Most importantly, our goal is to share the love, hope, and saving message of Jesus Christ — because when people experience genuine compassion, hearts are opened and lives can be transformed.
What We Believe
Our Core Values
Compassion
We meet every person with warmth and dignity, recognizing the image of God in each individual we serve.
Community
We believe lasting change happens in relationship. We walk alongside our neighbors — not just hand things to them.
Hope
Beyond meeting physical needs, we point people toward the hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Integrity
We are faithful stewards of every donation, every volunteer hour, and every resource entrusted to us.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:34–40
